文化祭の三日間｜中2の英語長文（約140語）

Our class decided to put on a short play for the school festival.

私たちのクラスは、文化祭で短い劇をやることに決めました。

We had only three days to get ready.

準備できるのは3日だけでした。

Nobody in the class had acted on a stage before.

クラスにはそれまで舞台に立ったことのある人がいませんでした。

On the first day, we spent two hours arguing about the story.

初日、私たちは物語について2時間言い争って過ごしました。

Everyone had a different opinion, and nothing was decided.

全員がちがう意見を持っていて、何も決まりませんでした。

Our teacher watched us and said only one thing.

先生は私たちを見ていて、一つだけ言いました。

"You can keep talking, or you can start moving."

「話し続けてもいいし、動き始めてもいい。」

The next morning, Kaito brought a box of old clothes from home.

次の朝、カイトが家から古い服の入った箱を持ってきました。

He did not wait for the story to be finished.

彼は物語が決まるのを待ちませんでした。

Seeing the clothes, we began to imagine the scenes.

The story came together in less than an hour.

The play was not perfect, and we forgot several lines.
